This is my contest entry for :icondisney-parkhoppers:'s Disney Imagineering contest. [link]

I really liked the idea behind this contest and I hope I get the chance to do it again.

I had a lot more ideas for the contest but ran out of time so this was the only one that got completed.

Anyway, here are the details:

This is La Ratatouille Restaurant based on Disney/Pixar's Ratatouille. The story behind the restaurant is that Remy and Linguini wanted to expand the taste of France to America, bringing with them their most delicious meals. The restaurant itself is a meet and greet location where kids can meet their favorite characters from the movie as well as other characters who drop in while you eat. The restaurant features French architecture and is appropriately located in New Orleans Square (Disneyland, CA). It caters to kids who want to meet the characters and feel like an adult with kid sized french themed cuisine that kids will love. Adults can have a romantic dinner by candlelight and accompanied with a french accordianist serenading couples enjoying top quality french cuisine. The menu includes delicious meals featured in the film such as "Linguini's Special Soup" which was the soup Remy first made in the film. Ratatouille is of course the Restaurant's favorite and primary dish. The restaurant also features "Chardonnay Bourgogne - Ratatouille Wine" which was originally intended to promote the film during its theatrical release. This is the only place adults can enjoy this wonderful wine. Adults can also indulge in a whole collection of fine French Wines. La Ratatouille is the only restaurant in Disneyland (other than Club 33) that serves alcoholic beverages (the only selections being wine). La Ratatouille also features a wonderful french cheese (brie, camembert, and meunster; cheddar, jack, and swiss are offered for those who do not enjoy french cheeses), crackers and grapes appetizer which pairs nicely with their wines. Kids can enjoy fun meals like ratty nuggets (rat shaped chicken nuggets), Sandwich du Fromage Fondu (basically a grilled cheese sandwich but with 3 types of cheese on a french roll), and Le Petit Petit Mignon (or little little steak).

That's so cute. They did had a Ratatouille restaurant at Disneyland, New Orleans square, but it was only there when they promoted the film when it came out...I was hoping they would have kept it there, though. :aww:
I wasn't sure about Disney Adventure here at California. I know they have a cool Pixar Play Parade to entertain the visitors at the theme park. I'm sure they had an animatronic Remy at Epcot, Disneyworld and Disney, Paris. That's really cool.

I love Linguini and Remy. Great deviation.

There's a place in the night. No one knows where or how high. When the fantasies light, there's a castle in the sky.

You're welcome. I believe your idea for the Disney Theme park is great.

I love to watch the Pixar Play Parade at DCA. I usually go every year here in California. They really should make a La Ratatouille restaurant in the French Quarters area near Adventureland. That would be so awesome. :excited: :eager: Remy and Emile could lead us there when it first opens. :w00t:

I wanted to see the animatronic Remy, but it's only in Disneyworld and Paris, France. :sniff:

oh yea i knew about that but i imagineered this place up as a way for us californians to enjoy a french meal themed to the film. i was in a way inspired by the restaurant at epcot (though i've never been) but i've been talking about how disneyland should have a restaurant themed after the movie since the day the movie came out. so i figured now was a good time to kind of design it and explain how i picture it would be like. :]
